Tthis morning Jess asked me how I slept and I responded with: “The better question is did I sleep? And the answer is no.” I’ve always heard the pregnant women are never comfortable, but I had no idea how true it was (and I’m not even halfway done). Thinking of having to go to bed at night puts me on the verge of tears because I’m so tired, but I know that the bed will bring me no comfort. Around 4:30 a.m. Baby Girl reminded me with some awesome kicks that it was all worth it.

Anyway, after I responded a tad grumpily to Jesse he told me to stay put and ran downstairs. He returned a few minutes later singing Happy Birthday while carrying a giant box. My birthday isn’t until next week, but this cute guy has been giving me my birthday presents early because he knows how bad I need some of these things. I opened the box to find a glorious, beautiful, magical present: a pregnancy pillow! As soon as I tried it out I knew that I wasn’t going to make it to church on time (totally worth it). I think/hope it’ll be a life saver. Hallelujer.

Also, I have been so excited for Valentines Day! I don’t usually get excited about V-day because I’m too busy thinking about my birthday, but this year we’re going to have an extra special valentines day. We get to see our cute girl for our 20 week appointment on good ol’ February 14th. Baby appointments always cause mixed emotions. I get really nervous because I want everything to be going well, but of course I’m always excited when we get to see her on the ultrasound.

I haven’t decorated for valentines day in the past few years so this year I decided to get a little crafty! I got out my sewing machine and hot glue gun and got to work. It was super duper easy and really needs no explanation. Now it’s time to cook, eat, eat, and eat some more for the Super Bowl! Who cares about the game? The food is where it’s at.

Yours Sincerely,

A lover of sleep.
