Ddear Baby Girl,

I hope you’re doing all right in there. Sometimes I like to tease you by poking around my belly to see if you will do a flip for me, sorry about that. We have a name for you, but we want to make sure it’s just right for you. Perfect little girls need perfect names, you know. I’m still trying to figure out who you might look like, but I can feel that you have such a sweet spirit. You have given me a new wonderful perspective of how truly amazing my body is. You have helped me grow closer to God and you have made me want to be a better person so that I can be a good example for you. The best thing in the world is seeing how much your dad already cares about you. I know that you are going to be a daddy’s girl and I’m perfectly okay with that because I know how comfortable he is to cuddle. He’s also really smart and knows a lot of random facts, he will teach you a lot. He’s been working on knowing everything there is to know because, as you will learn, dad’s just know everything. Both of your grandpa’s know everything too. It’s a dad thing. You grandma’s are going to be really good at spoiling you, visiting grandma’s house will quickly become your favorite trip. I will do my best to teach you how to love and be kind to others. I’m learning  how to make owies better with just a kiss and I’m working on being patient and saying sorry. We have a lot to work on before you get here, but one thing is for sure: We love you a lot. It’s crazy how that happens, how this new feeling of love, worry, fear, and excitement all form as soon as you find out you’re going to be a parent. It’s the greatest feeling ever. Be well little one. Feel free to throw some punches or karate kicks, they make me smile.

Yours Sincerely,

The owner of the heart beat.
