Today I learned that you can’t pay for your groceries with your student ID card. After the third unsuccessful swipe I started to panic and looked into my wallet to see if I had any other cards I could use. Once I realized my credit card was safely tucked away in its usual spot I mumbled something about pregnancy brain to the cashier, paid, and walked out of the store slightly embarrassed. At least this grocery trip I took a note to remind myself that we are not, in fact, running low on butter or sour cream because my brain seems to think we are according to the 3 cartons of sour cream and 5 boxes of butter sitting in my fridge (I don’t even like sour cream).
Anyway, as you might be able to tell not much has been going on in the Cooke household other than school, work, Boo going to the doggy dentist, my belly growing bigger and bigger every day, sewing lots and lots, and being addicted to the TV show 24 for the second time. I also have been reading into labor and delivery and nearly throw up any time I come across a picture. Please, enough with the pictures. It got a whole lot worse when I decided to watch some videos. Whatever, I just can’t wait to meet our little missy! We may or may not have bought a second dog as well. Okay, we did. Caribou has been depressed lately (he’s a very emotional guy) and has loved having his buddy and cousin Satchmo over to play, but when his friend leaves he will cry at the door for hours and sulk until he comes back. So of course we had to get another dog, right? I hope we’re not crazy dog people, but I almost think we are.
Sorry there’s not a lot of fun pictures or big updates, but finals are coming up soon… ’nuff said.
Sincerely, a girl who needs a vacation..or more sleep.
