or as long as I can remember I’ve woken up to pink heart-shaped pancakes, pink milk, and any other breakfast food that we felt like pink-ifying on valentines day morning. It was my favorite part of the day partly because breakfast is the best meal, but also because it started off my valentines day extra lovey-dovey. Once I moved out on my own and got married I didn’t even bother to ask Jess if he wanted to continue with the tradition. Unfortunately he hates breakfast foods, but he’s such a sweetie that he eats every pink heart-shaped pancake that I put on his plate because he knows how much I love traditions…and maybe because I kind of force him to eat them whether he likes it or not.
This particular valentines day I woke up at 4 in the morning and wasn’t able to go back to sleep. Maybe because I was so excited to start making our pink breakfast or because I couldn’t wait to open my present that Jess had been working on for hours the night before. Mostly I think I couldn’t sleep because I was excited to see our love bug later that morning for our 20 week appointment. Once the sun finally came up I went downstairs to start cooking and guess what I found in the kitchen? My present! I have been eyeing this thing for a long, long time. I love it. After breakfast we rushed off to our doctor’s appointment. Baby girl was dancing around the whole time and kicked anywhere the ultrasound tech moved the probe thing. She gave us a good laugh.(8, 16, and 20 weeks)
We had a wonderful valentines day shopping in Idaho Falls, finding a place to eat (eventually settling on Red Robin for the second time this week), and going to the Lego movie which I promptly fell asleep in. Don’t get me wrong it was a good movie, but we went to a late showing and when 10 o’clock strikes there’s no amount of sugar that can keep me awake.
I’m so grateful for my three lovies (yes, Boo is considered a “lovie”). I’m especially grateful for my hubby. He spoils me rotten in more ways than one. I love who I am and the better person I’m becoming each day because of the great example he is to me. I hope everyone had a fabulous love day!
Yours Sincerely,
One loved girl.
